Annesley House Annesley House is located in the coastal town of Portland, the oldest town in Victoria, Australia. Portland is on the Great Ocean Rd, approximately halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide. It abounds in natural attractions such as pristine beaches, national parks, historical buildings and world class fishing. So far Portland has managed to avoid the "tourist theme park" feel that many coastal towns in Australia have succumbed to.

Built in 1878 Annesley House was originally built for Dr Brewer, serving as both his surgery and private residence. Converted to a guest house by the Wadmore sisters in the early 1900s, it became an instant success. In the 1940s ownership passed to Mrs Luers who continued to run it as a guest house and later converted it to apartments. Annesley House has recently been restored to its former grandeur. It now contains six serviced apartments & a guest lounge.
