General Information[edit]

Brevard County has 72 miles of beaches. This article provides a list of public ocean beach access locations in Brevard County, Florida. Only access to ocean beaches are listed, no fresh water or lagoon beaches are included. Beach accesses do not have facilities except as noted. The following sortable table defaults to list the locations from north to south. Most beaches are only open during daylight hours. Brevard County Parks and Recreation maintains 42 ocean beach access sites.[1]

Alcohol Consumption[edit]

Generally the consumption of alcohol on Brevard beaches are not allowed. Indialantic and Melbourne Beach do not permit any alcohol on their beaches. Cocoa Beach is one of the few municipalities that allows alcohol on the beach (as of 8/6/2010 alcohol is still allowed, but changes to the law are being considered). Open containers on the overpasses and glass bottles on the beach are against the law.
