Welcome[edit]

Hello, Bostonfieldmarketing! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Please have a look at our guidelines for marketers. In an edit such as this one, please include prices, do not use the first person, and describe the hotel amenities and NOT the neighboring attractions. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 14:57, 12 August 2010 (EDT)

Once again, please read our guidelines for marketers. This edit includes no price information, and once the list of nearby attractions is removed has no description of the hotel. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 15:25, 12 August 2010 (EDT)
Per SEO, please leave the city & zip out of addresses, and include a price range for the hotel. The property descriptions that you've been adding today look much better. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 14:48, 19 August 2010 (EDT)

Hi - checking with the properties we manage, it really is ours and theirs not to include a price range. We'd rather not set a definitive price range to limit ourselves - we have many special offers from time to time. I will leave the zip and city out of all future uploads. Thanks

To reiterate, every addition you've made today still includes the city in the address, something that should be left off as it can be inferred from the article subject. And site policy is that marketers should only add complete listings, which would include a price range. Most travelers understand that there are specials from time-to-time, but it's very helpful to have some idea of the range that a hotel will cost. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 11:01, 20 August 2010 (EDT)

My apologies - I've revised all the listings from today (exception of Sheraton Colonial - I think this should still have Wakefield in the title). I'm not going to put the price in the listings - I do not see any other hotels that do and I don't want to push out of a consumer's consideration set based on a potential price.

Deleted Content[edit]

Hi Starwaood Field Marketing! Your edits will be reverted because you still violate our policies. Please see SEO and style + tone. You still use touty/promotional language, use excessively long urls which are frowned up here and wbo will have some hints for you too. Sorry to be so hard but you get paid for the job while Wikivoyage is run by volunteers. Either your entries comply 100% with our policies or i will keep reverting them. I think that most administrators will share that view. (WT-en) jan 13:54, 23 August 2010 (EDT)
