Hi! You may want to take a look at Project:What is an article? and Project:Goals and non-goals. We don't cover places that aren't 'real' as they tend to be difficult to travel to! Also, plese feel free to create a user account so we can give you a proper welcome! (WT-en) Majnoona 10:31, 5 May 2006 (EDT)

Hello again! Thanks for starting some article. Just so you know, you can click on the template links at the top of the text area when you create a new article and it will automagicly add an outline. See Project:How to start a new page for more! Thanks again. (WT-en) Majnoona 10:08, 8 July 2006 (EDT)

"Idiot" comment

[edit]

The "idiot" comment is unnecessarily strong, but please be aware that simply running in a "(foo) is a (place of some kind)" is not all that helpful, particularly if there is no destination named (foo). Please look carefully at the criteria for what constitutes an article/destination. If you contribute things that are actually destinations, your work will be appreciated. If you just throw out random stuff not meeting the criteria, it won't be, we'll just have to clean it up, and you may get some invective out of it, humans being what we are. P.S. As Maj says, please use the templates; that at least shows good faith. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 12:00, 14 July 2006 (EDT)

Are you being wise now Todd? 169.244.166.2 13:36, 14 July 2006 (EDT) I'm just trying to help out.

But that's the problem: you're not helping. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 16:04, 14 July 2006 (EDT)

How to start a page

[edit]

So here are some steps you can follow if you want to be helpful:

  1. Check to see if the place you want to add has a hotel. You can use Google maps, type in the name of the place and the word "hotel" and see if it finds anything.
  2. Only if there is a hotel Start the page and type the following: {{subst:smallcity}} Or (this is easier) click the link that says "City" just above the place where you enter text.
  3. Save the page
  4. If you like, you can click "Edit" and add the name and address of the hotel under the Sleep section.

Thanks. (WT-en) Majnoona 10:51, 15 July 2006 (EDT)
