I appreciate your stated motivation for editing the India article, and I don't prejudge whether your edits or the preexisting text are more accurate, but as the edit is substantive and could be controversial, please start a thread at Talk:India, explaining how the preexisting text was inaccurate, so we can try to reach a consensus about the best way to present the Mughals, who were at times more tolerant and at times less tolerant. I've reverted your edit for now, pending that discussion.
