Hello, Atanuami! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.
Having said that, please explain this reversion. I explained that w:English Bazar covers the town of Malda, just by a different name. You wrote no edit summary at all. So why did you revert my edit? Ikan Kekek (talk) 16:07, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
- Dear Ikan KekekI think I know better about this place so would request you to suggest me what changes I should make rather than reverting it. —The preceding comment was added by Atanuami (talk • contribs)
- That's not my question. Please explain how I'm wrong that the Wikipedia article covers the same place under a different name. Thanks in advance for your explanation. Ikan Kekek (talk) 16:15, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
- (talk) let me explain, English Bazar is a just a municipality under Malda City, The city is much larger than the area of English Bazar.
- Thanks for explaining. This is probably good to explain in the Wikivoyage article, and certainly the Wikipedia article (though a ref will be needed in Wikipedia, as their standards on original research differ from Wikivoyage's). However, I believe we should still link the Wikipedia article that most nearly corresponds to the subject of the Wikivoyage article, within reason, if there is no one-to-one correspondence. So the question is, does w:English Bazar or w:Malda district more closely correspond to an article about the city, or is it really in the best interest of the traveller for us not to link Wikipedia at all?
