[edit]Buses depart frequently from the Terminal Salitre in Bogotá. A ticket costs COP$27,000-40,000 (July 2021). COP$45000-60000 ( July 2023 ) The travel time is 3-4 hours, but traffic jams in Bogota can increase it. Many bus operators covers this route.

[edit]The road Bogota - Villavicencio are wonderfull to motocicle drivers, because in Colombia this vehicules not pay tax to road.
There are three expensive tolls on this route: Boqueron, Pipiripal and Naranjal.
Many tunnels that help shorten the trip time.
Get around
[edit]Frequent minibuses go through the city for COP$2.400 (July 2023). There are no bus stops, you can flag them down and exit them anywhere. The end of operation depends on the route, the direction and whether weekdays or weekend. Usually it's until 8:30-10pm. Ask the minibus driver for the specific time. After sunset some of the minibuses are fancy illuminated.
As of July 2021 Uber, Didi and Cabify don't serve the city. You can try the app Picap, if it finds a taxi for you.
Local taxis cost for 7km/15min around COP$10.000. At night it's approx. COP$30.000 for that distance.

[edit]Dancing:There is a town called "7 de Agosto", famous for the variety of dancing clubs along its main street. Also, the club "Capachos" known to be one of the best dancing clubs for people in their 20s to late 30s.

[edit]There are many hotels 5min walking from the intercity bus station "Terminal de Transporte". They are in the west of the bus station on the Calle 15. A lot of the hotels there have a 24 hour reception. The price is around COP$35.000 for single occupation and around COP$38.000 for double occupation (July 2021).
