This page lists a list of all galleries for star static maps.
Region maps[edit]
This category contains the vast majority of maps, given that it's the only category where static maps are favoured over dynamic maps (that use Wikidata items). This includes:
- Non-bottom-level region maps.
- Country maps with subregions.
- Bottom-level region maps with subregions marked (e.g. Hunter).
- Huge city articles (i.e. city articles with districts).
Bottom-level region maps[edit]
Bottom-level region maps tend to be quite rare given the slight preference to dynamic maps. Nevertheless, the following types of maps fall into this category:
- Bottom-level region maps (i.e. maps depicting regions without any subregions marked).
- Rural area maps without listings.
City, district, park and diving maps[edit]
These are static maps with each individual POI marked. Such maps are usually discouraged from Wikivoyage per Wikivoyage:Map since they can easily go out-of-date, though diving maps are the exception to this rule. The few exceptional maps of this kind fall into this category:
- City maps (except huge city maps)
- Park maps
- City district maps
- Diving maps
Other maps[edit]
Occasionally, there may be a map that may not fit into the above three criteria – all maps that don't fit into the above three categories fall into this one. Such could include maps of itineraries or certain travel topics.
