Inclusion of 2009 eclipse[edit]

Assertion: the Tokara Islands having the longest solar eclipse of the 21st century is the most interesting thing that has ever happened in this really obscure corner of Japan, and it's thus worth the two (2) sentences we have about it in the History section. If you disagree, please come up with a more interesting historical fact about the place :) Jpatokal (talk) 22:18, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Jpatokal, you need to drop the stick. You're the only one who's provided arguments for keeping it; everyone else (myself, Brycehughes, OhanaUnited, Mrkstvns) on User talk:Brycehughes#Please don't delete factoids (where the de facto discussion occurred) agrees it should be removed. --SHB2000 (t | c | m) 22:26, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I agree. While it's a fact, travellers can't experience this 2009 solar eclipse anymore. Hence I recommend removing this info. OhanaUnitedTalk page 03:02, 8 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I agree thst this doesn't belong here. Ground Zero (talk) 10:53, 8 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Jpatokal, canvassing also does not help your case. --SHB2000 (t | c | m) 00:00, 9 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
