Is it just me or..?[edit]

Have a look at the article's history, because it looks a bit funny. Today this article has been edited by five different brand new accounts, just one or two edits per account. Looks like each has basically just added a business. Have we become famous in Anglesey? :) ϒpsilon (talk) 15:58, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome back! It seems that accounts (User:LlewDu, User:Oriel Ynys Mon, User:AngleseyWalks) are belongs to one person because the edits made from these accounts at only less than a minute interval time. --Saqib (talk) 16:07, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Can someone check for sock-puppets as it is happening again. --Traveler100 (talk) 21:24, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
May be a reason to scrutinise their edits more closely in relation to our established policies, but we never used to waste much time otherwise on these diversions... Do we actually have any check-users? --Ttcf (talk) 22:20, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There was a workshop held in Llangefni on Monday (which I was at) introducing local business owners to the use of WikiVoyage, and we all practised adding entries. So nothing sinister! --Warrenkovach (talk) 06:45, 11 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I was wondering if it was something like that. Was it explained that adding a business such as restaurant or a specific accommodation is fine and more than welcomed but placing the same listing on multiple pages is not encouraged and will probably end in a negative result for the contributor? --Traveler100 (talk) 07:32, 11 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It was; he talked quite a bit about etiquette and how things can be changed or removed if the rules weren't followed, but some people apparently missed some bits! --Warrenkovach (talk) 09:09, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Image is not of an Angelsey beach![edit]

This image is of Porth Ceiriad on the Llyn Peninsula. I believe that it is from a kayaking blog/website from a couple of years ago. Time for a genuine picture of Anglesey I think. As I am not from Anglesey and am new to wiki, I will leave it to contributors who are more qualified.—The preceding comment was added by Nant-y-Big (talkcontribs)

Hi there Nant-y-Big. The picture is part of this album about an Anglesey kayak trip at Flickr. It's possible that it was used for other websites too, as it has a license that permits re-use. The photographer tagged it as being Anglesey, maybe looking at the other pictures will give a better idea of the location? I don't know the area at all. If you're certain this is not Anglesey, please feel free to replace the picture with a more suitable one. The whole point of a wiki is for people to plunge ahead and correct or improve articles, so just give it a go :-) JuliasTravels (talk) 12:35, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
