Now that editors can pick any of these sorts of characters from the drop down Latin extended character set, why do we still need this?

- Actually, the page you want is Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Accent. No one cares if anything links to the talk page. That said, I don't think this template makes any sense; how am I to display a name like Jonquière, Québec unless there's some way to specify which way to place the accents?
