Hello and welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.

If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

If you are a Wikipedian, or have previously used Wikipedia, then you may notice some differences in the style of our articles.

Also, please pay careful attention to this site's policy on copyright. As the A self guided tour of the Pacific Coast Railway in San Luis Obispo County article you started was obviously copied and pasted verbatim from an online pamphlet, it has been deleted. If you'd like to create an itinerary article, have a look at Wikivoyage:Itineraries. I'd advise you to start the article in your own userspace (e.g., as User:Sloflash/Self-guided tour of the Pacific Coast Railway in San Luis Obispo County) and edit it before putting it into articlespace ( Self-guided tour of the Pacific Coast Railway in San Luis Obispo County).

Best,

To Ikan Kekek.
I can assure that I was the originator of the subject material. Not one word of it was copied as you stated.
The confusion may have arisen because I saved the word .doc file into a com file in the knowledge that you do not accept .doc files.
I would like to know what to "save as" to change a .doc file that I created to get it into wiki
And since I put a lot of editing into the article I would like it to be restored —The preceding comment was added by Sloflash (talkcontribs)
I've restored the article and moved it into your user space at User:Sloflash/A self guided tour of the Pacific Coast Railway in San Luis Obispo County. In its present form it doesn't quite fit into the structure that has been established for Wikivoyage, so you may want to re-work it while in your user space, either moving relevant pieces into other articles or trying to convert it into an itinerary article such as El Camino Real. If you have questions you can ask them on this talk page or in the Pub. Thanks for contributing! -- Ryan (talk) 22:12, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
User:Sloflash, sorry for the inconvenience. The format and phrasing of your file made it seem to be a pamphlet, but I take your point that you wrote the document. Ryan, thanks for handling things while I was out during the day today. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:23, 11 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
