Wikivoyage talk:Templates used in articles

I've put together all the templates I could find that are used in articles. There doesn't seem to be any consistent design between them. Some have round borders, some to not. Some have icons; they are different sizes, colors seem to be chosen at random and so on.

I was thinking it might be a good idea to use a more consistent design between the templates. Something that would fit in nicely with the default Vector skin. I have also included a thumb-nailed image as any design for the templates should fit with how images look as well.

Also, why does the Caution box say note with a "caution" colored yellow background and a blue colored icon?

Certainly our template design could use some harmonization -- it looks like {{sleeppricerange}} was updated to have rounded borders and a lower contrast color scheme but {{eatpricerange}} never was, for instance. But we also have to be careful not to make things look too matchy-matchy, as trying to fit different-purpose templates into one singular style causes unnecessary compromises in design utility. Yeah, that was my fault. I changed the {{sleeppricerange}} to look less ugly and then ran into {{eatpricerange}} and realized this is a problem that requires more careful thought. I wanted to limit the page to templates that appear in articles and generate boxes. I wanted to leave out templates such as Template:SeeDistricts that only generate text or file copyright templates etc. 37.228.226.160 17:30, 31 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
