• 1 Lefkada Castle (At Lefkada Town entrance). Built by the Venetian John Orsini in the early 14th century. The castle got its name from the church of Santa Maura who was in the same position. The church gave its name to the island of Lefkada for a long period of history. The castle is located on the edge of the small strait formed between Lefkada and the opposite coast of Akarnania and surrounded by a moat.
