Câmpulung Moldovenesc is a city in Southern Bukovina.

Located in a mountainous area on the main route linking Bukovina with Transylvania, Câmpulung Moldovenesc is a good base for hiking trips and to some extent for visiting the Painted Monasteries.

By train

There are trains from the regional hub Suceava (1½-2 hours away) approximately every two hours, 4-5 trains from Iaşi (3½ hours), Cluj (5 hours) and one night train from Bucharest (9 hours).

By bus

Frequent buses link it with Suceava (1½ hours travel time); there are also several buses from Bistriţa, Cluj, Iaşi and one from Bucharest.
