  • 1 Seville — with heritage from the Arabs and from the Age of Discovery, as well as the flamenco scene, Seville is a diverse destination.
  • 2 Dos Hermanas Dos Hermanas on Wikipedia — a large city just south of Sevilla, hometown to the guys that wrote the Macarena
  • 3 Écija Écija on Wikipedia — drenched in ten thousand years of history; today its Baroque bell towers are known to grace a post card
  • 4 Lebrija Lebrija on Wikipedia — once a hotbed of protest, Lebrija is known for its pale Manzanilla sherry
  • 5 Osuna Osuna on Wikipedia — alluring and atmospheric, television show Game of Thrones did some filming in the area
  • 6 Santiponce — a town near the ruins of Roman city of Italica.
  • 7 Sierra Norte — an area of small and picturesque villages, and dramatic landscapes.

Climate

Seville has a warm Mediterranean climate with an annual average temperature of 18.5 °C. Winters are generally mild while summers are hot. The maximum temperatures in summer often surpass 40 °C. The village of Écija is popularly known as the “Frying Pan of Andalusia” for its torrid summers.

Seville is very well connected to the rest of Spain and the world via motorways, railways and airports.

By plane

Sevilla Airport (SVQ IATA) is 10 km northeast of centre of the city of Seville on the A-4 highways. It has flight connections from over destinations around Europe and Northern Africa, and serves as a base for the low-cost carriers Vueling and Ryanair.

By train

Seville is connected to the high-speed AVE network operated by Renfe (state railway company). You can quickly reach Seville from Madrid, Barcelona and many other cities.

By bus

You can take the bus to Seville from almost all cities in Andalusia.

By car

The A-4 highways to Córdoba, A-92 to Málaga and Granada, A-49 to Huelva, A-66 to Mérida and Cáceres and AP-4 to Jerez de la Frontera and Cádiz run through the province.
