Ago-iwoye is a city in Ogun State.

Understand

This is one of the most populous cities in Ogun State. Most of its occupants are of Yoruba ethnic group.

The main campus of Olabisi Onabanjo University one of the state owned institutions is located 7km west of the city.

Ago-Iwoye's economy is primarily agricultural. Among the goods produced are yams, cassava, cocoyams, maize, melons, egusi, kolanuts, cocoa, palm oil, garri, bananas, and rice. The economy is solely groomed by students who reside in the town during academic calendar, whenever the school is out of session or on Academic Staff Union of Universities are on strike, this industrial action always affect the economy of this small town in Ogun state

Get in

You can get in by bus from anywhere in Ijebu North local government. You can also get direct bus from some part in Lagos State directly to Ago-iwoye. However if you are coming from another state, you would have to board a bus to Ogun State, alight under the bridge before the express that leads to Sagamu then from there you would go to Ijebu North Local government with a bike or cab going to Lagos garage or Ibadan garage where you will get a cab to Ago-iwoye.

Get around

You can get around the city majorly by bus, bike and cabs. There are buses plying this city well. You should be able to get a tri-cycle called (keke-maruwa) for short distance journey.

Ago Iwoye is not really a place of tourism but there are hotels with indoor games, event centers, club houses. There was an opening of the first cinema in Ago Iwoye located around mini campus, you can also visit and buy shawarma, barbecue from a mini stop and dine avenue at Itamerin bus stop.

You would most likely find reliable coverage of the 2G/3G mobile networks in most locations in Ago-iwoye, but the 4G network might be unreliable. Signal strength might diminish further away from the city center, and you might occasionally experience a network outage for all or some of the mobile phone service providers in the remote areas of the city. Different networks tend to be more stable and reliable in different locations of the city at different times.
