North America > United States of America > Southwest (United States of America) > Arizona > Northern Arizona > Tuba City

Tuba City is a town of 9,700 people (2015) in Northern Arizona. Tuba City is the largest settlement on the Arizona side of the Navajo Nation. There is little to detain the traveler, but it makes a good refueling stop on the way from Monument Valley to the Grand Canyon.

Buy

[edit]
  • 1 Tuba Trading Post, 10 N. Main St, +1 928 283-5441. Far and away the biggest shop in Tuba, this shop dates back to 1905 and has a wide, well-presented selection of souvenirs from the area, including authentic Indian crafts. Tucked away in the back is a small grocery store for the locals.

Eat

[edit]
  • Hogan Restaurant (at the Quality Inn). Casual food. Price and quality quite OK. No real other choices unfortunately.
  • Tuuve Cafe and Gas Station. Sandwiches, soups, burgers, salads and similar all-American fare. It's not much to get to excited about. $7–12.
  • China Star Restaurant, Highway 160, +1 928-283-5807. Chinese food options.

Drink

[edit]

As Tuba is located within the reservation, it's a dry town, with no alcohol available.
