By public transport

[edit]

The public transport network is operated by the Walloon bus company TEC. Tickets can be purchased from kiosks, or directly from bus drivers where they are only marginally more expensive. Do not expect bus drivers to converse fluently in English, so having your destination written out on a piece of paper may help to avoid confusion.

  • 1 Belfry, La Ruelle Thirion. The historical 35-m-high belfry of Gembloux is located on a rocky outcrop on the edge of the Orneau and in the center of the town. It is in fact the bell tower of the old Saint-Sauveur church, enhanced and fitted out to serve new communal functions. The bell tower officially became a belfry at the beginning of the 19th century. Since 2005 it has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Belfries of Belgium and France. Belfry of Gembloux (Q2295070) on Wikidata
