  • 1 Blackall Woolscour, 302 Evora Rd, +61 7 4657 6042. 9AM-5PM daily. This intact steam-powered wool washing plant is a nice part of Australian industrial heritage and rather unique in its kind. From May to August it actually operates, on steam. It's open all year, however, with tours starting every hour.
  • Statue of Jack Howe, Shamrock St (outside the Universal Garden Centre). This statue commemorates Jack Howee, the country's best known sheep shearer. His record was 321 sheep in 7 hours and 40 minutes, aet over a century ago in 1892.
  • 2 The Black Stump, Thistle Street. The monument has an explanation of the town's claims to the expression "beyond the black stump."
