Abeche is the capital of Ouaddai Province in Chad. It was once the capital of the Wadai Empire.

  • 1 Ruins of Ouara (50 km north of Abéché). Former capital of the Wadai Empire. It has been deserted since its wells went dry in the late 19th century and the capital was moved to Abéché.
