Cabinteely (Caban tSíle) is a small village in the southern suburbs of Dublin .

The 145 bus goes straight from Dublin city to Cabinteely.

Cabinteely is not directly on the DART line, however the 46A from Dun Laoghaire can leave you on the 145 route, if you're willing to swap buses.

  • Cornelscourt Shopping Centre (Dunnes Stores), +353 1 2892677. 07:00-23:00. Contains a large Dunnes Stores (food, clothes, off-license and homeware departments), an optician, basic restaurant/café, hair salon, pharmacy and newsagents. Opens late and free indoor/outdoor parking.

  • Café 31 (Trentuno), Cabinteely Village, +353 1 2024767. 11:00-22:00. Italian restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Opening hours can vary by day, and reservations may be required on traditionally busier days e.g. bank holidays. Kids menu also available. Paid on-street parking.

  • Horse & Hound Pub, Cabinteely Village (Just off the N11 dual carriageway). Well-known and much-loved pub that retains is "village" vibe. Food also served. Paid on-street parking is available.

Cabinteely is a very safe village, with a police station opposite the Horse & Hound Pub (on the corner). If you find yourself in any trouble, Gardaí (police) are always happy to help.
