The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts at 300 S. Broad Street at the corner of Spruce Street in the "Avenue of the Arts" area of Center City, Philadelphia, was built in 1998-2001 and was designed by Rafael Viñoly. The full-block building goes through to S. 15th Street, one block west of Broad. The facility includes two auditoriums, Verizon Hall, with 2,500 seats, and Perelman Theater with 650 seats, and has a roof garden as well. It is the home of the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Phily Pops, Phildanco, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society
