Español: El Alcázar es un símbolo de Segovia, de Castilla y de España. Su imponente perfil se levanta, majestuoso, sobre el valle del Eresma.
Su traza refleja mejor que nada el esplendor de la Corte castellana durante el medioevo, y sus muros han sido testigos de intrigas palaciegas, bodas reales y sucesos asombrosos. Es así la fortaleza segoviana un caso único en la historia de la arquitectura española, castillo y residencia real, cual su apelativo indica: "alcáçar", con el que ya se le conoce en 1135, reinando Alfonso VII el emperador. |
