Summary

Description
English: The photo of the Give Way to Penguins sign is located on Granite Island, Victor Harbor, South Australia. this island is home to a small colony of Fairy penguins, also called Little penguins. The adjacent rail line is 1600 mm gauge and carries horse drawn trams, the only regularly operating horsetrams in the southern hemisphere. They are hauled by our wonderful Clydesdale horses. They cross a causeway from the town to the island being about 1300 metres total, of which 630 metres is a wooden causeway (bridge) built in about 1875.
