kouｊima,幸島

幸島(こうじま)、無人島。野生の猿が生息する。京都大学 霊長類研究によるサル社会の生態研究が行われた。研究の一環で餌付けが行われ、与えられたサツマイモを海水で洗う行動様式が群れに伝播する様子が確認され、サル社会においても文化の伝搬があることが証明された。観光施設は乏しい。島に渡るには手段は瀬渡し船のみ。

The monkey was given food by the researcher. One of the monkeys washed the sweet potato with seawater one day. It seems that the monkey washed off dirt with seawater. This was transmitted to the crowd of the monkey. The researcher thought that the culture was spread to the ape society. Tourist facilities are not here. The transportation to the island is only a ship.
