Description
English: Lion capital datable to Gupta period was an effort to replicate the lion capital of Mauryan period. It consists of inverted lotus, circular abacus, four lions seated back to back surmounted by dharma chakra. Unfortunately, dharma chakra and lions are damaged in this sculpture.
