Summary
DescriptionPalatka Union Depot; Platform with Amtrak Station Sign.jpg
English: Modern day Amtrak sign along the canopy above the platform of the Old Atlantic Coast Line Union Depot in Palatka, Florida. The station served Amtrak trains in modern times, but in the past has served the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, Seaboard Air Line, Florida Southern Railway, the Palatka Branch of the Florida East Coast Railroad, Georgia Southern and Florida Railway, Ocklawaha Valley Railroad. The station is on the National Register of Historic Places, but that sign doesn't remotely resemble anything from the ACL days. The Seaboard Air Line used to run along the north side of the station on an abandoned set of tracks east of the end of the Edgar Branch of the CSX Wildwood Subdivision.
