Summary
| Description |
English: Picture of Sandstone Falls (or New River Falls) in Sandstone, West Virginia. The falls on the New River are located about 4 miles North of Hinton, West Virginia, and about 2 miles South of Interstate 64. There is a scenic overlook on West Virginia Route 20, but to get a better look at the falls (like in the picture), go into the town of Hinton, cross the Temple Street Bridge, take a right onto County Route 3/21, then take a right onto New River Road (County Route 26). Follow that road for about 8 miles or so, and on the right you will first see a boat landing, and about a mile up from that, on the right, you will see a nature preserve area with paths and walkways (in some places) that allow one to get a pretty good view of the falls. |
