I really dislike the direction this is going in. Could we try to stick to original works, licensed under CC by-sa 1.0? I don't think it's fair to downstream users to make them check and verify all these licenses.

My reading of the ECB page says the images are effectively PD, so they're in fact freer that CC-by-SA 1.0. What makes you think differently? (WT-en) Jpatokal 09:28, 5 May 2005 (EDT)

The images are fairly trivially composed by scaling and rotating the ECB images. If you really think this is an issue then I can spend 5 minutes in GIMP regenerating them, but let's sort out the ECB images themselves first. (WT-en) Jpatokal 09:28, 5 May 2005 (EDT)
