The main attractions around Man are La Cascade, a large rocky outcrop which overlooks the town known as the La Dent de Man (the tooth of Man), and the forest monkeys.

  • 1 La Cascade (The Waterfall) (at the west side of the town). Surrounded by a tropical forest, the habitat of many colorful dragonflies and a wide variety of butterflies. There is a little shop with tables, toilets. Many people swim here. 1,000 CAF, they hand out official tickets.
  • 2 Mount Tonkoui Peak. Very long but easy hike up (5 hours), which you might avoid by paying a mototaxi. No guide needed. Picturesque views from the top and the way up
  • 3 Le Dent de Man. Locals want to get bribed ~3,000 CAF to let you enter the nature. They will physically keep you from passing if you don't pay

The monkey forest is a wooded area in which monkeys live; for a small fee tourists can persuade local residents to call the monkeys out of their forest habitat. There are three mountains that lie near Man, Mount Toura, Mount Tonkoui and Le Dent de Man, which make them popular for hiking.
