Nowy Targ Market

The market is said to be the biggest street market in Europe, and probably one of the oldest. On a Thursday morning, the farmers are there with their livestock, and the market is also open on Saturdays, but without the animals. Both markets finish about 2pm.

It is located about one kilometre SE of the town centre, next to the west bank of the Dunajec river on either side of Aleja Tysiąclecia (highway 49). There are several car parks but the most easily accessible are on the south bank of the river (Generała Władysława Sikorskie). Walking around the market, you will find a huge variety of goods from ball gowns to hunting goods, axe heads to babies clothes, fresh fruit, sweets, electrical gear, lighting, bedding etc
