Daily buses run directly between Pilar and Asunción.
Buses between Encarnacion and Pilar require a change in San Ignacio de Misiones. You will need to walk around a corner to the opposite road to catch the appropriate bus. Depending on your destination there may be a small bus shelter or people may collect in front of a local shop. It is best to ask someone to ensure you stand in the proper place.

- Hotel Liza (turn left out of the bus terminal and then left again immediately, the hotel is three blocks down). Very nice accommodations for the price. Wifi and space heaters available. Hot water is not available, but electric heaters are attached to the showerheads. 95,000 Gs for a one bedroom apartment.
