Simpson Desert National Park can refer to two national parks, one in Queensland and the other in South Australia.

They are two national parks that border each other and have similar names, but are completely separate parks. They protect similar landscapes and environments, but due to the fact that national parks in Australia are managed by the states, they are separate parks managed by separate authorities.

The Queensland national park was called "Simpson Desert National Park" until 2018 when it was renamed "Munga-Thirri National Park", reflecting the name that the Wangkangurru people had used.

The South Australian national park was created in November 2021 by merging the Simpson Desert Conservation Park and the Simpson Desert Regional Reserve. Many maps still have the former two names. Today, the Munga-Thirri–Simpson Desert National Park now makes up the largest national park in Australia.
