Danville Pennsylvania is a city in Central Pennsylvania. Danville is a very small town in central Pennsylvania. It is one of the only towns in Montour County, the smallest county in Pennsylvania. With Danville's rich history, friendly people, and great activities to participate in, it is the perfect weekend get away.

Get in

You can access Danville by several different ways. The closest international airport to Danville is Harrisburg, PA. If driving to Danville the easiest access is threw interstate 80. Danville does not have public transportation because of its small size, so the best way to see all that Danville has to offer is by car.

See

While visiting Danville there are many things to see. One of which is the Montgomery House, a museum that displays the history of Danville and its surrounding area. Danville is also known for iron manufacturing, while not an area industry today there are many areas where you can see the famous T-rails. If you are interested in seeing historic homes Danville also has a large area where all homes are a part of the historical society. Geisinger Medical Center's main location is also located in Danville, PA. Geisinger is now one of the leading medical centers in the United States. Another fun thing to do while in Danville is visit Knoeble's Ammusment Resort. While Knoeble's is not located in Danville it is only a short drive down the road.

The Iron Heritage Festival http://www.ironheritagefestival.net/ This is a festival celebrating the rich historical past and pride for Danville. It occurs during the third weekend in July and features tours around the Danville area, a historic train ride, and great food!

The Run For the Diamonds http://www.runfordiamonds.com/ The Run For the Diamonds is a famous nine mile run held in Berwick PA, only 20 minutes away from Danville. The race is held annually on Thanksgiving day.

If you are interested in shopping while visiting Danville there are many shops located on Mill Street (Downtown Danville). The Columbia Mall is off the the Buckhorn Exit of 80. This mall features stores like the Gap, Bon-ton, Sears, and Victoria's Secret. Also located off of the Buckhord exit are Wal-Mart, Loews, and Home Depo.
