By plane[edit]

It is easy to get to Mineralnye Vody by flying directly from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, or certain other large Russian airports.

1 Mineralnye Vody Airport (MRV IATA) (4 km of the city), +7 879 222-07-77. It's one of the biggest airport in Southern Russia, serving about 2 millions passengers each year. It was completely rebuilt a few years ago, after that it has everything that could be expected from any other typical airport: duty free shops, eateries, money exchange offices, luggage storage.
Getting there:

  • By bus: shuttle bus #10, 11 goes to the Mineralnye Vody railway station (travel time 20-25 min). Shuttle bus #11 goes to the central bus station (every 30-40 min, 06:00 - 19:30, travel time 10 min, "Ruslan Market" bus stop).
  • Taxi

Police in this town can possibly be bribed. However, you need to break the law to experience that. In all other cases if not doing something illegal you're pretty much safe with the police.
