Greetings, Andreasegde! Welcome to Wikivoyage. Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you're new to the whole wiki community look at the Wiki markup to get an idea of how to use the wiki markup. If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thanks for your contributions to Linz. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 14:33, 28 May 2006 (EDT)

OK guys, I´m with you; no problem. I like Wikivoyage and I hope to contribute more (and not just about Linz - laugh...) If that´s what you want then so be it. I don´t agree with the style, but that´s my problem. (It´s still much better than all the other confusing stuff on the Web.)

I think the Linz page (here he goes again) has to be rejuvenated, and I will try to do it. I will not change the Headers (laugh...) and I hope I can improve it.

I apologise if it seems that I insulted anyone, but words in black & white can be read as not being the way they were written.

Learn[edit]

I know you just started out on Wikivoyage, but if you have any questions just ask me, or anyone else. We'll be glad to help. The reason I bring this up is because apparently no one's let you in on the secret that all you have to type to sign your name after each post is ~~~~ . That will look like this: (WT-en) Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 21:58, 30 May 2006 (EDT)

Thanks; I have just copied it over from Wikipedia, because it´s not on the Wikivoyage page. It seems that you guys do things differently over here. It would be nice to not have the aggravation that seems to permeate through the Wikipedia pages, and actually get on with people (even though I don´t agree with your Header style - laugh...:)

I have to look at the way one can put a picture on the page, because I´m not sure about pixel size and so on...

The best thing to do regarding images is type this in the section: [[Image:PLAC.JPG|thumb|300px|The heart of Warsaw (or any caption)]]

Where the bold text is the text that is responsible for sizing images obviously if you change the text to read "200px" the image will appear smaller, or if you enter to read "600px" it will be enormously large. - (WT-en) Sapphire 17:15, 31 May 2006 (EDT)

Thanks, Sapphire! What nice people you all are on Wikivoyage.

In my own satirical way, I have changed the header from "Tutoring" to "Learn", as that reflects the "consensus"! Yes, I still don´t agree with it...laugh :)

Pub deletion[edit]

I notice you deleted an Irish pub in the Linz article. Why? Checking their website, I find it is still up; they even seem to be expanding since it mentions two pubs. (WT-en) Pashley 07:47, 13 December 2008 (EST)

They are both closed/bankrupt now. As I live in Linz, it pains me to delete them, as I drank in them both on a regular basis.(WT-en) andreasegde 14:25, 12 July 2009 (EDT)
