Wadowice

Wadowice is a town 70 km west of Kraków, 5 km west of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska and 40 km south of Oświęcim in Western Beskids in Poland.

Understand

Wadowice is a pretty small town with a late baroque church. Karol Wojtyła, the later pope John Paul II, was born there in 1920.

Get in

It is easily accessible from Kraków and Katowice by car, bus or train.
