rightCheongdo Bullfighting Festival

Cheongdo County is a county of 47,000 people in North Gyeongsang. It is a key transportation hub for highways, railways, and national roads.

Understand

[edit]

It is the origin of the Yeongnam Alps, and the center of the Yeongnam region adjacent to 7 cities and counties in Daegu, Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Gyeongbuk.

Climate

[edit]

Much like the rest of Korea, Cheongdo has four distinct seasons. Summers in Cheongdo can be extremely hot.

Winters can be rather cold, reaching -15 °C on occasion. Furthermore, the air is extremely dry during the winter time.

Autumn and spring are rather mild, no extreme weather conditions for either. However, during spring, typically in April, the air quality is very poor. It is very common to see locals protecting themselves with face masks against the "yellow dust."
