Fayetteville is a small town about an hour away from Atlanta, in the city's Metro Area. Formerly quite rural, it has lately become more suburban with the rise of shopping chains such as Lowe's and JC Penney's, and housing sub-development neighborhoods.

Get in[edit]

Fayetteville can be Reached by car from the Atlanta airport, about thirty minutes away. Unfortunately, you cannot reach the city by bus.

Do[edit]

There are plenty of things to do. Almost every month the small city's town square has a type of celebration, like July Jam in July, which usually lasts about a week, or maybe the Taste of Fayette which is held in May.

  • Alchemy.
  • 1 Fun Spot America Atlanta, 1675 GA-85 N. Hours vary; see website. Typically noon-8PM, summer: daily; winter: Sa-Su, plus weekdays during holiday periods. A modestly-sized but excellent independent amusement park. Lots of rides and activities for both kids and adults, including four huge outdoor go kart tracks, a decent roller coaster and other rides, miniature golf, laser tag, and arcade games, not to mention bumper boats that are nice for cooling off a bit in the hot Georgia summer. With hardly any lines, it's a much better way to fill your day with rides than a super-crowded mainstream theme park. Day pass $29.95/person (save 10% online); kids under 54 inches get a $5 card for in-park spending.

Sleep[edit]

There are many places to sleep in Fayetteville, most easily to spot a Hampton Inn and a Holiday Express inn, both should be quite comfortable.
