Kanoya (鹿屋市) is a city of 104,000 people (2015) in Kagoshima. Kanoya is popularly called the "Town of Roses".

Kanoya City is in the center of the Osumi peninsula of Kagoshima prefecture in Japan.

By plane[edit]

The nearest airport is Kagoshima Airport in Kirishima City. Kanoya Bus Stop (in front of Lina City Kanoya) is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes by limousine bus from Kagoshima Airport.

It takes about 1 hour and 14 minutes on the highway and about 1 hour and 40 minutes on the general road (via National Highway 504) by private car.
