Rocky Top (formerly known as Coal Creek or Lake City) is a town in Tennessee. In 2014, it was renamed after the a popular southern folk song, Rocky Top. In 2020, it was home to about 1600 people.

  • 1 Norris Dam State Park (take Highway 441 about 5 mi (8 km) east of Rochy Top to Village Green Road, and follow it north), +1 865-425-4500. With more than 800 miles of shoreline, the park offers recreational boating, skiing, and fishing. The park has a fully equipped marina with boat ramp available to the general public. Houseboats and pontoon boats are available for rent along with other types of boats. Norris Dam was the pilot project of the Tennessee Valley Authority, a Great Depression-era entity created by the United States government in 1933 to control flooding and bring electricity and economic development to the Tennessee Valley. The park also administers the Lenoir Museum Complex, which interprets the area's aboriginal, pioneer, and early 20th-century history.
