There is more than one activity called Diving:

The sport of Diving, ie, jumping off high places into the water with or without acrobatic evolutions, is not considered a travel topic. The following topics are available:

  • Scuba diving - Includes Recreational and Technical Scuba Diving: Swimming underwater for extended periods breathing from a Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus for recreational purposes.
  • SNUBA - Swimming underwater while breathing from a surface air supply for recreational purposes.
  • Free diving - Swimming underwater while not breathing for periods limited by the breath-hold abilities of the participant.
  • Snorkelling - Swimming mostly on the surface, breathing through a snorkel, with occasional short and shallow breath-hold underwater excursions, for recreational purposes.
