Mpande is a small, rural community on the scenic Wild Coast, on the Eastern Cape of South Africa. It's a largely untouched beach area, visited mostly by backpackers and shark fishers. It's not far from Port St Johns.

  • The Kraal. A small, eco-friendly place where you sleep in Xhosa huts or Safari tents. Don't expect any luxury in terms of facilities and bring your own food for cooking - the nearest shop is a good way off. The owner is very friendly however and the atmosphere is great.
