Coolah is a town in the Central West New South Wales, a state in Australia.

Warrumbungle Shire Council is located within the foothills of the Warrumbungle and Coolah Tops mountain ranges, halfway between the regional cities of Dubbo and Tamworth. The Shire has a population of 11,000 and provides schooling to Year 12, excellent medical and sporting facilities and many community organisations. Highlights include waterfalls plunging from the plateau heights, giant grass trees and tall, open forest with stands of huge snow gums shelter abundant wildlife, including gliders, wallabies, eagles and rare owls. There are plenty of activities to do. The higher altitude offers cool walks throughout the year and amazing views northward towards the Liverpool Plains.
