Lock Haven is a city in the Pennsylvania Wilds. The city is the county seat of Clinton County.

Get in

From the east: Follow Interstate 80 west to the Lock Haven exit. Head north on 220 for seven miles. From the west: Follow Interstate 80 east to the Lock Haven exit. Head north on 220 for seven miles. From the north: Follow US 220-South to Lock Haven. From the South: Follow Interstate 99/US 220-North to Lock Haven.

Get around

Get into a car and drive, or ride your bicycle anywhere in the town. If you have a boat, you can push off into the West Branch Susquehanna River.

See

Beautiful fall foliage, high mountain peaks, and Amish farm country are all within 10 minutes of Lock Haven.

  • Piper Aviation Museum, 1 Piper Way, +1 570-748-8283. 9AM-4PM M-F, 10AM-4PM Saturday, 12PM-4PM Sunday. Exhibits about the history of the Piper Aircraft company, as well as a collection of a dozen or so planes, all located on the grounds of the former Piper headquarters and factory. $6.

Check out Avenue 209 Coffee House, with live music and open mic night. Then visit Lock Haven University. End your day with a drink at Uncle Albert's tavern, or the Hangar 9.
