Palos de la Frontera is a city in Andalucia, Spain.

Probably most important for Palos is that Christopher Columbus developed his plans here and started his discovery with support of the people in Palos. The town built ships and most of the sailor accompanying Columbus came from this town. See also Voyages of Columbus.
