Fada is a city of 25,000 inhabitants located in Saharan Chad and the capital of Ennedi Ouest department.

Located on the Ennedi Plateau, Fada is a truly Sahariern city, remaining an isolated green outpost surrounded by vast desert. Visitors generally comes trough Fada to visit the Guelta d'Archei.

• 1 Guelta d'Archei. One of the most famours gueltas in Sahara, small bodies of water that are hosts to isolated pockets of Nile crocodiles and other species not usually found in the desert.
