Lalejin is in the Hamadan province of western Iran.

The town's name in Persian of لالجين‎ can also be romanized as either Lālejīn or Lālajīn. However, it's also often known locally as Lalin (Persian: لَلين, also romanized as Lalīn) and also as Shahr-e Lālejīn. The last census in 2006 counted its population as just 14,689. Most of its inhabitants work in the ceramics business.
