Attnang-Puchheim is on the Salzburg-Vienna train line, also with direct connections to Linz, Innsbruck as well as Zurich (Switzerland) or Feldkirch (at the Liechtenstein border).

The train station is being renovated, so only some of the platforms are open. Lockers are available (starting from €2 for up to 24 hr).

There is a rather recent church 2 minutes walking from the train station.

The city is usually a must-go-through if going by train from most Austrian cities on the way to Hallstatt, a very nice UNESCO world heritage village.
